Love Code

They hit him again.

The man thrust his face,
Twisted with rage
An inch from his nose

Tell
Us
What
It
Means

He swallowed blood and smiled
A kindly smile
A smile that cooed

Stop.
Not for my sake
But for yours

You too could join us in
This meadow of joy

After the smile
He said.

Nothing.
Something.
I can’t actually tell
You what it
Means

Because I don’t know.

It’s something to do
With
Love, light and life
Rainbows and daffodils

City streets wet with
Springtime rain

Charming melodies
Silence
And
Peace

But I don’t know what it means

Nor do you or the others.
